Safemode

The Swedish metalcore beasts Safemode are coming to Nordic Fest this year to give us a hard-hitting show from start to finish! These guys have been playing their breakdowns for a long time, and they really know what they're doing. If you're a metalcore fan, you will truly love their live show. See you at Nordic Fest!

GROMS

We are very proud and happy to announce that GROMS will play at this year's Nordic Fest in Oslo, Norway! This is a dream come true, since GROMS was among the very pioneers of Christian extreme metal in Norway and Europe, playing their pure heavy oldschool death metal. GROMS released their only album "Ascension" in 1994, and the band has not performed live since 1996! That is also why it was a hard task finding a crisp picture of these fantastic musicians.
Do NOT miss this!

Drottnar

Through fire and tribulation, Norway’s Drottnar return to defy conventions and overturn expectations with their next evolution in sonic ascendancy. Melancholic introspection meets industrial precision as Drottnar continue to transcend genre while surveying the limits of musical discord. This is not music for the faint of heart. The Norwegian veterans continue to surprise with their latest album "Monolith", and we can't wait for a cold, dissonant and brutal piece of bunker metal at Nordic Fest 2019. This is DROTTNAR as they have never been heard before.

The Weakening

Sweden's The Weakening deliver pure quality swedish technical death metal - low-tuned, agressive, groovy and brutal. The five-piece gathered from different bands in the Swedish extreme metal scene, and together they have really made something extraordinary. By joining forces they have created a mighty atmosphere that pierces into the depths of your soul. Let the percussional rythm, the fat stringssounds and the guttural growls shake your foundations, and let THE WEAKENING loosen you up at Nordic Fest 2019!

Opus Irae

German symphonic black metallers Opus Iræ have mastered the art of deftly alternating between soaring orchestral refrains - borderline operatic at times - and galloping metallic charges, demanding attention with a potent alchemy of refined bombast and delicate aural poetry. Their music are building on the kult foundations of early Emperor and Dimmu Borgir, which you can tell. Their music will cause your soul to roar in the opulent beauty of classical music before brutally bringing you back down to the black extremities - and all of it from OPUS IRAE at Nordic Fest 2019.

SawoL

Finnish Death/Doom band Sáwol are returning to the scene this year after a break. Their last full-length "Through Soil and Skin" from 2010 got a lot of positive feedback, and their sophomore album is finally being recorded this year. Their lyrics deal with personal struggles and faith, and at Nordic Fest 2019 we are really looking forward to SÁWOL's doomy, riffy and heavy atmosphere.

Hortor

The Mexicans in Hortor are finally playing in Norway, and with them they are bringing a lo-fi and melodic sound that resembles the early second-wave black metal albums. While it may not be a popular concept within the black metal community, Hortor has never lost the vision with which they began in 2004. The message of Hortor has always been completely direct, never hiding their faith and portrayed in each of their concerts and lyrics their beliefs. We welcome them to Norway and Nordic Fest 2019, and hope to be blasted away by HORTOR's brutal sound and relentless message.

Antidemon

Antidemon has been going strong since '94 and is a well-known band in the Brazilian scene. The band’s style has developed along the years, and their mixture of death metal and grindcore is sure to deliver the hardness you desire. The sound is fast and brutal, and we welcome them to Norway - make sure to be ready for hard-hitting riffs and low-tuned growls at Nordic Fest!
